How to get there

The closest airport is Salzburg Airport (5km from the city).
Ryanair, British Ariways, ThomsonFly and Aer Lingus all fly into Salzburg Airport. Further details can be found on the website of Salzburg Airport
A taxi to the city costs approx 13 Euro. The number 2 bus also goes from the airport to the city centre.

It is also possible to fly to Munich Airport and take a train directly to Salzburg Hbf (approx one and a half hours). If flying into Munich Airport it is possible to purchase a "Bayern Ticket", which allows 5 peolpe to travel for the price of approximately €25,- and is valid for travel to Salzburg on regional trains. The Renaisance Hote and Congress Center is around the corner from the station.

By car: Exit Salzburg Mitte in direction Zentrum/Center and follow the dual (Münchner Bundesstrae/Ignaz Harrer Strasse) carriageway, cross the Salzach river an followmain road (St. Julien Strasse), turn left before viaduct after 100m you are at the main station, corss square and turn right into Fanny von Lehnert Strasse. There is limited parking available at the venue. In the surrounding area display the time of your arrival (beginning of parking) or park at the public parking garages, which are charged at an hourly rate.
